DOCS/Platform Docs/Team Management/Remove Members

Remove Members

Requires owner or admin. Removing a member revokes organization access only; it does not delete the underlying user account. You cannot remove yourself from the organization.

Use this guide when an existing member should no longer have access. If you only need to stop a pending invite, cancel the invitation instead of removing a member.

A removable member row in the users table with the delete control visible.
Confirm you are targeting an active member row before using the removal control.

Before You Start

  • Check Roles and Permissions if the remove control is missing.
  • Confirm you are acting on another member, not your own row.
  • Remember that self-role changes are blocked too, so use another owner/admin account if you need someone else to adjust your own access.

Step-By-Step

  1. Open the dashboard and switch to the Users tab.
  2. Find the active member row for the person you want to remove.
  3. Confirm the person is already an organization member and not just a pending invite.
  4. Click the remove control on that row.
  5. Confirm the removal when the dialog appears.
  6. Check that the member disappears from the table and no longer has org access.
The users table after a member has been removed successfully.
Use the post-removal table state and success feedback to confirm the membership was revoked.

If Something Fails

  • If the remove control is missing, you are probably not signed in as owner or admin, or you are looking at your own row.
  • If the member is still only invited, cancel the pending invitation instead.
  • If the removal fails after confirmation, refresh the Users tab and try again.
  • If you expected the account itself to disappear, stop there. This action only removes organization membership.

Next Step

Return to Roles and Permissions if you need the role-gate reference again.
